In 1989 I take my first class in black and white photography at the school Film in The Cities in Minneapois\St Paul , Minnesota.
In 1990 I follow a course at The Minneapolis College of Art and Design where I continue to study black and white and color photography.
At the same time I take a workshop in fotojournalism and documentary photography at The Univesity of Minnesota School of Journalism with Donna Schwartz, editor Nan Richardson and photographer Philippe Jones Grifith. To learn the job of the photographer I start working as a freelance assistant in different photo studios in Minneapolis and I also work part-time inside a professional black and white lab called North Light with master printer Richard Silha. In 1992 I win a schoarship for a course in documentary photography at The International Center of Photography in New York City with Joan Liftin and Charles Harbutt. During this period I work inside the Agency Magnum Photo Inc. In 1994 back in Minneapolis I continue my freelance assisting work and I start pubblishing my first photography assignments. In 1996 I move back to Florence, Italy where I know work and live and start working fulltime as a freelance photographer. Portraiture and reportage are at the center I my photography assignments. My work is regularly pubblished in the most important Italian and foreign magazines. Member of the following professional associations:
